Faith and Feelings
Often there is a battle within our hearts between fact, faith and feelings. Faith holds on to the facts about God and the truth in spite of our changing moods, circumstances, feelings or emotions. Always put your faith or trust in God’s facts and His word in the Bible and let your feelings come along as they will. The fact is, I am greatly loved by the Lord who gave His Son for me, regardless whether I feel that love or not. I am loved with an everlasting love. Fact. The fact is even my darkest sin is forgiven because of the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for me. I am forgiven whether I feel it or not because of blood shed and I have confessed (1 John 1:9).
We must take every thought captive and make it line up with God’s truth. Let us stop living on our feelings and emotions. The Apostle Paul did not say, ‘I live by my feelings and emotions in the Son of God…’. We instead live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave His life for us. It’s fact, faith and feelings.
